Ambrotypes

We have always shot with digital camera and retouched the pictures in PS. But recently we plunged into experiments. No, we don’t use film yet. We decided to go for 150 years at once. That’s our first trials in ambrotype. This method is very fascinating, but our photographer Garik has already been given a nickname Dirty Garry. He has black gothic nails and some other dark spots appearing in different places from time to time (the effect of the silver nitrate). Thanks to his courage and persistence we are moving slowly in our studying of this old, but new for us, technic. The images are way too far from being perfect yet, and that’s why are highly artistic. :)
